E-Bikes makes this anybody’s adventure as you can go further and explore more! E-Bikes are bicycles integrated with a motor and a battery that assists the cyclist and allows them to cycle further with less effort.

Tour Description 

Lanzerac Wine Estate,  the home of Pinotage, is conveniently located in Stellenbosch and surrounded by world class wine estates linked together with safe cycle routes. From the Vinebikes Trail Centre at Lanzerac you can rent bicycles and e-bikes or you can book guided wine farm tours and now thanx to a nifty free app  you can now do a self guided e-bike wine farm tour!

With Lanzerac as the departure point, choose one or two wine farms as a destination and simply follow the app!

Option 1: Lanzerac to Rustenberg Route

From Lanzerac Wine Estate the app will guide you through Stellenbosch along a scenic cycle route along the Eerste River, past some university building and then on a country road to Rustenberg Wine Estate at the foot of Simonsberg. Once you enter the wine farm it is real country style cycling to reach the wine cellar at the top of the farm.

Option 2: Lanzerac to Stark Conde

From Lanzerac Wine Estate the app will guide you on a cycle route towards Jonkershoek to reach Stark Conde nestled deep in the Jonkershoek Valley. Stark Conde has the wine tasting area on a beautiful island while the deli probably has one of the most beautiful views in Stellenbosch – appropriately called – Postcard Café.
