Customer Reviews

Half-Day Township Tour: As always, a very interesting and important tour for our students to attend. The tour leader, Godfrey, was very knowledgeable and accommodating with the students. Given the nature of the tour, just to mention that some of the students felt uncomfortable entering people's homes (even though they were assured that this wouldn't be a problem). Perhaps this message can be reinforced to put tour participants at ease that they are in fact not invading the privacy / sanctity of the home owner. Thank you to Khonaye and his team for organising this informative and well-run tour, for the punctual collection of our students outside City Hall, and arranging the drop-off in Rondebosch afterwards. - Isabella

It was a very good tour with a very good guide. Thank you! - KONDO

We had a very educational visit to Langa organized bij Camissa Tours. We had two fantastic guides from the township that taught us about the history and life now in Langa. They explained how they felt about doing the tours which comforted us that it was okay and even appreciated to visit the township. Both guides were really kind and patient to answer all our questions. They noticed what our three kids were interested in and invited them to ask questions as well. We would recommend this tour to everybody, especially families and discover this side of South African society. We were inspired by the warm community the people in Langa form together. - Fleur

What can I say. The visit to Langa was great. I won't hide that my partner and I didn't know exactly what to expect. We come from the other side of the world and the word "Apartheid" was something we read on books, watched in the movies. Seeing it firsthand, living it, even if as a visitor and for a few hours, was so humanly enriching. The amount of things we learned in just a couple hours was incredible. We absolutely recommend to visit Langa (or any other township) to better understand the history of South Africa. It seems impossible for us to travel to this amazing country and not witness reality. From a logistic point of view, everything was very well organised. The pick-up at our place was punctual, both the guides clear and nice, the drop-off also very punctual. - Barbara

Thank you so much for taking such great care of my guests. They loved their Camissa Township Experience. Thank you also for your amazing professionalism. I will definitely be booking with Camissa again. - Richard
