Our tour of Camissa Township was both enlightening and eye-opening. We were encouraged that the residents of the township still held high hopes for an improved lifestyle promised by the new reform government of 1994. However, it was also apparent that the current living conditions of the townspeople demonstrated a recent slowdown in progress during the past decade. It is our sincere desire that future leaders of South Africa can reignite programs that uplift their less fortunate citizens to a lifestyle that is self-sufficient, dignified, and full of hope. 2 kompetente Guides, die das Leben und die Veranderung seit der Apartheidzeit eindrucklich zeigten, insb. auch die Vielschichtigkeit der Gesellschaft in den Townships. Leider stellte sich der kulturelle Teil lediglich als Besuch in einem Kunstshop heraus, wo es auch keine Gelegenheit gab, mit den Kunstlern uber ihre Situation zu sprechen. - Jürgen

This was an amazing experience for us to see the cultural and daily living side of South Africa. The community was so welcoming to us and we enjoyed getting to see the homes, the school, and the way of life. Our guides were incredibly helpful and informative. We would not have been able to achieve this experience if it were not for this tour! - Madeline
