On Sundays, we include a visit to a Township Gospel Church (approximately 45 minutes) into our regular Township Tour. This is our most popular tour and seats are limited at church we immense you to the Gospel singing and dancing
Church is an important part of social life in township communities and a great reflection of the social cohesion existing in the Township communities we have built relationships with a number of churches in different communities we invites you to attend an uplifting South African gospel experience with a vibrant and dynamic young congregation
Here the warm welcome of the congregation and their vibrant voices, will echo in your heart, long after you have left Cape Town.
Please Note: from the start of the holiday season in summer many people in township communities go back home in rural Eastern Cape mostly as such churches have fewer members of the congregation and resolve to one service commencing at 8 AM. We have no control of the church service how long praise and worship session will last for start and end time of the praise and worship session. The church experience is real not staged

It was an honour to see, feel and learn about the life in the townships and the positivite spirit of the people in Langa. The values of a community and taking care of each other is something beautiful we may learn from in Belgium. Experienced a lot of friendly, positive and warm people. Also Godfrey was a really nice and good guide. These tours are a unique chance to meet each other as a human being and maybe in the future this will lead to understanding and equality instead of fear and apartheid. So I can only be positive about these tours, infact it's a must when you're in Cape Town because the townships reflect the real spirit of Capetown and South Africa. - Heidi

This tour was a wonderful experience. We witnessed Gospel singing and celebration and were allowed to be part of the congregation. We were made to feel very welcome. This was followed by a guided tour of Langa township . This is a must do for anyone trying to understand and appreciate modern South Africa and the challenges it faces . - Colm
It was a really good chance to get an insight, it was so nice to have Godfrey as our guide who told and showed us a lot of his community in Langa. Good idea of tour to mix gospel church and township. Township guide was good and gave a good tour. The gospel church was also very good in terms of vibrancy. On the negative side, our pick up was late and as a consequence we missed maybe half of the gospel music experience. Most disappointing!! The vehicle driver would also benefit from microphone system so that he could be heard at the back of the bus. Overall, we paid for a full tour and only received 75 percent of the tour. - Randall
