Customer Reviews

Hi there, The townshiptour was well organized and very good guides. A bit disapointed about the communication about the transfer to Robbeneiland. Normally, the townshiptour end @ 12h and ferry @ 13h !! But now, the tickets were booked for 15h !! so we loose two hours , and this without any information from Camissa. - KOEN

We had a great time and particularly loved our time in the Township. - Alvaro

We had a great day joining the Gospel township and Robben Island tour. We booked the tour together with our friends so we were 8 in total. We were picked up at the appartment richt on time. Godfried, our guide and driver was very knowledgeable. He told us interesting facts before visiting the township so we could beter understand the history and the situation. We loved the visit at the community center with the different artprojects. Also the mass with the gospelmusic we liked a lot. A bit an awkward feelings walking in the township. Our group was placed together with some other groups so we were with a large number of people walking to the streets and entering some houses. A few people of the group were making pictures. This part made us feel somewhat uncomfortable. Then we went our way again with our small group and guide/ driver who lived himself in the area. He told us about his live and about living and growing up in this townships. He drove us past his house, greeting some people on the way. It gave us a better view of the situation. This impressed us more than the walk, it was a sincere statement that made us feel humble. In the meanwhile he stayed informed wither the boat to Robben Island would sail out since there was a lot of wind. Round noon he dropped us at Waterfront and gave us the tickets for Robben Island and we could go our way. We enjoyed the tour. The organisation was smoothless and the guide was top. - Mieke
