Best of the Cape Tour

Cape Town

Activity Description

The definitive Cape Town tour, the Best of the Cape Town encompasses all of the city’s top attractions and destinations. From the Blue Flag beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, to the quiet village of Noordhoek, beautiful Cape Point Nature Reserve and warm beaches of False Bay, as well as the award-winning wine estates of Stellenbosch, you will be able to discover the many wonders of the Cape Peninsula and its many highlights. Here are just some of the highlights that you will enjoy on these tours in Cape Town:

Situated along the Atlantic Seaboard, the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay have been awarded Blue Flag status, offering pristine white beaches and beautiful, clear waters that make these beaches highly popular with locals and visitors alike.

The small fishing village of Hout Bay is often jokingly referred to as the ‘Republic of Hout Bay’ by Cape Town locals, and has the sense of being an entirely separate town. A beautiful beach, delicious fresh seafood, bustling markets and plenty of restaurants make this suburb a must-visit on any Cape tour.

Cape Point and the spectacular nature reserve that lies in this area is one of the most famous landmarks in Cape Town, and for good reason. Situated on the very tip of the peninsula, with the Indian Ocean on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other, the area spans across landscapes such as rugged cliffs, lush fynbos and vast open spaces – no Cape Town tour is complete without a visit to Cape Point.

Simons Town is the seat of the SA Navy, and has a charming coastal town atmosphere and a vibrant history. Here you can find a thriving harbour, a toy museum, navy museum and plenty of other sights – nearby is also Boulders Beach, which is one of the only places in the world that you can swim alongside penguins.

The quaint suburb of Kalk Bay runs along the Main Road, with the False Bay coastline running on one side, and the mountain on the other. Along the Main Road lies a host of veritable treasure troves, from antique shops to costume shops, bakeries, restaurants and plenty more. The area is also excellent for whale watching during whale season (June to November).

The Cape Winelands lie just 20 minutes outside of Cape Town, and this is where you will find some of the country’s top wine estates. A number of wine varietals are produced here, including Chenin Blanc, Shiraz, Pinotage and the signature sparkling wine, methode cap classique. The town of Stellenbosch offers plenty more besides wine tasting, including cellar tours, cheese tasting and the chance to purchase wine at cellar prices.

As you would expect from a city that spans across a diverse range of cultures, landscapes and areas, the Best of the Cape Tour offers a smorgasbord of things to see and do – making this the ultimate Cape Town tour for those wanting to get a taste of the Cape’s many fascinating attractions and highlights.

Customer Reviews

We, my daughter and me, really enjoyed the day-trip, we saw the most interesting places and always felt safe due to our very good driver. Definitely I will recommend the trip to my family and friends. - Barbara

Perfect day. Perfect schedule. Perfect Tour. Our guide, Wellington, has been really nice in his explanation and made my day unforgettable. - Pierre

This tour of the Cape between Cape Point, Cape of Good & Stellenbosch, the wine tasting session was a very nice experience. our guide was very nice. Cap town is amazing place. I highly recommend - Hortense

I stronly recommend the company of African Eagle. they're very reliable and professional. They seem to be more punctual than some tourists are. I took four of their tours and they all were so well organised that they bring you an unforgettable experience. This particular one takes you round the Cape Penninsular to Stellenbosch and provides astonishing landscapes and magnificent Cape wine tasting. The pace was manageable even by elderly travellers. - Piotr

It was a good experience, the guide / driver was on time and was very precise about his description of different areas and sites was pass through. Good time management and covered all the areas/spots mentioned in the itinerary. Lunch was included in the tour cost however surprisingly meal does not include water/drink its only the main course. A proper meal should include a water/drink. Overall a good experience and very professional team. - Amir
