Activity Description

Bhejane 4×4 Adventures, with special permission from SANParks, invite you to join them on a professionally guided self-drive exploration of the deep Knysna forest where the history, culture and incredible diversity will be shared.

Located on the fringes of Knysna in the Garden Route, this place has existed for almost a hundred years. It is a place which holds many secrets and abounds with life and beauty. The excursion begins as we enter the Bhejane concession area just north of the Garden of Eden where the guide will give a full introduction and description of the morning’s activities.

Road conditions are safe and ecologically friendly. A 4×4, 2×4 and SUV with good ground clearance are required to traverse the forest tracks in particular the middle mannetjie on all the paths. Participants of all ages are welcome as the forest offers a unique experience for everyone. Bring your camera’s, binoculars, a jacket, bird and tree books, as well as comfortable shoes (although we won’t be walking any long distances).

These excursions are FULLY GUIDED and entrance into this concession cannot be made without a Bhejane Guide.
This is an all weather activity. Rain or shine the unique habitat of this special place offers something special, just bring something warm to wear and we’ll bring the coffee!
