Go on a game drive in Addo Elephant National Park.

Go on a game drive in Addo Elephant National Park and view The Big 5 Wildlife, go on a guided Cango Caves experience, visit Storms River Mouth. Visit the most Southern Tip of Africa and spend time with the African Jackass Penguins at Betty’s Bay.

ITINERARY
DAY 1:
Addo Elephant National Park – Storms River Mouth – Plettenberg Bay
Meet and greet at 7:30 am at your place of residence in Port Elizabeth.
Exploring Addo Elephant National Park in our tour vehicle. We will spend up to 2-3 hours exploring the 48,000 hectare National reserve with approximately 700 elephant and some Cape buffalo, lion, black rhino, warthog, zebra, eland, kudu, hartebeest and many more animals.
We head towards Storms River Mouth having lunch along the way. We take a walk to the mouth of the river over suspension bridges that span these amber colored waters. Here, dramatic cliff faces meet the power of the swell coming in from the southern Ocean as they burst in great sprays of white foam in protest at the interruption of their unconfined freedom.
We continue through the heart of the Garden Route. Here hazy mountains lie carpeted in lush forests bordered by colorful fynbos, the diverse indigenous flora of the region. We approach our overnight accommodation in Plettenberg Bay with its spectacular views over Baia Formosa or “Beautiful Bay” it was called by the early Portuguese explorers.

DAY 2:
Plettenberg Bay – Knysna – Oudtshoorn
After a delicious breakfast, we check out and depart for Knysna. This is a popular and picturesque route as we drive through forests both manmade and natural. The coast a short drive to the south and the tall Outeniqua mountains omni present to the north. We arrive in Knysna and drive to the spectacular view points on the eastern head, overlooking the expansive lagoon. This is one of two massive sandstone sentinels guarding the entrance to these peaceful inland waters.
Leaving Knysna, we continue to Oudtshoorn driving over the Outeniqua Pass overlooking George.
We stop along the way for lunch. In Oudtshoorn we take a guided tour through the Cango Caves with all the stalagmites and stalactites. This landmark was discovered in the 1800 and have a rich history. After our Cango Cave experience we head for our overnight destination, freshen up and take a delicious dinner.

DAY 3:
Oudtshoorn – Mossel Bay – Hermanus
After a delicious breakfast, we check out and depart for Mossel Bay, the site of the first European landfall in South Africa on their successful quest to circumnavigate the African continent. Here we have lunch and visit the oldest post office, a tree, in Africa and the site of the first landing of Bartholomew Dias in 1488.
We continue on the Garden Route and take lunch along the way, through stunning scenery to the picturesque town of Swellendam, turn south towards Cape Agulhas. Cape Agulhas is the most Southern Tip of Africa we stop and take photo’s at this landmark. We head towards Hermanus for our overnight stop.
Here we can view the Southern Right Whales from June to Nov as they come close to our shores.

DAY 4:
Hermanus – Betty’s Bay – Cape Point
After a delicious breakfast, we check out and depart for Cape Point, but first we stop at Betty’s Bay and view the Cape Jackass Penguins up close.
Arriving at Cape Point we take a walk around Cape Point with it’s spectacular views. Cape Town from the interior as we approach our mother city, Cape Town, nestled in the warm embrace of Table Mountain.
Here we check into our accommodation and freshen up before heading into Cape Town to sample the fare at one of the many world class restaurants that can be found in this cosmopolitan City.
We explore the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront or you party the night away at some of the venues of the vibrant nightlife which the City is so well known for.

DAY 5:
Cape Town
Check out guesthouse after breakfast.
We depart for the Two Oceans Aquarium at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. We spend the morning learning all about the Aquarium Life.
We enjoy our last lunch together.

The rest of the day is reserved for your outbound flight, Safari conclude at 12h00-13h00.
