Climb aboard Vredenheim’s new game drive vehicle for an experience of our estate like no other, taking you on a guided tour through our game fields, cattle paddocks, fruit orchards and alongside our Big Cats Park.
Your journey will take you into the heart of Vredenheim’s farming operations with a hour educational tour to learn more about our game and cattle farming and Big Cats Park sanctuary. An unmatched experience in the Stellenbosch winelands!
The tour is more or less an hour and half and includes a bottle of Vredenheim wine per couple, cheese and our South African traditional Droewors (dried meat) that can be enjoyed on the game drive or at home. Every child receives a sweets bag with a bottle of juice. The game drive is a guided tour and includes the Big cats and the Animal Farm.

Such a great experience, our kids loved it and it was the perfect amount of time for our 3 year old to enjoy the outing without getting too restless. Our guide was kind and knowledgeable and just lovely to be with. - Ashley
This was the 3rd time we visited The Big Cat Sanctuary at the Vredenheim Wine Estate. It is the most amazing experience and very informative to listen to the Guides telling us "stories" about the Cats' personalities. This time, we also did the Game Drive and met Jessica the Eland, who greeted us with a lick on our hands. She also promptly "cleaned" the Guides' knees by licking them 'clean'. We thoroughly enjoyed the game drive and the interaction with the game , the ranger was super friendly and knowledgeable and handled the guest with great respect and we truly enjoyed going out with him . The bottle of Vino was n great bonus . - danie
Did this in 2024 and again 2025 and it doesn't disappoint. Very informative. All questions were answered. Vast variety of animals to view. I will do this safari again in 2026 with my daughter. - Bonita
