Activity Description

A thrilling way to see the magnificent Southern Right whales that visit the Cape from June to November to mate and give birth. During this time, the whales are plentiful along these shores. The well-known Whale Route, which hugs the coast and passes by Gordon’s Bay, Pringle Bay, and Betty’s Bay on its way to Hermanus, which is the best destination to watch these animals.

1. Fernkloof Nature Reserve & Harold Porter Botanical Gardens
The stunning Fernkloof Nature Reserve, which covers 2000 hectares of coastal fynbos and mountain fynbos and is home to numerous birds and small mammals, is seen as part of our Cape Town tour. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens is a must-see.

2. Hermanus
As one of the world’s top whale-watching destinations, Hermanus offers the perfect vantage point to witness these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. Watch in awe as they frolic, breach, and play in the waves.

3. Whale Watching – The Southern Right Whale
With only around 3000 individuals remaining, the Southern Right whale is a rare and precious sight and its a privilege to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
