Step back in time and explore one of the world’s most important paleoanthropological sites on this fascinating Cradle of Humankind and Sterkfontein Caves tour from Johannesburg.

Your experience begins with hotel pickup in Johannesburg, followed by a scenic drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Cradle of Humankind the birthplace of some of the earliest human ancestors.

The tour includes a guided visit to the famous Sterkfontein Caves, where some of the most significant hominid fossils in the world have been discovered, including the renowned “Mrs. Ples” and “Little Foot.” Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, guests will explore the underground cave chambers while learning about fossil discoveries, ancient geological formations, and the evolution of humankind.

After the cave exploration, guests will visit the Maropeng Visitor Centre, an award-winning interactive museum that takes you on a journey through the history of life on Earth. The exhibition covers human origins, ancient civilizations, climate change, and the development of the modern world in an engaging and educational format.

There will be time to enjoy lunch at the onsite restaurant (own account) before returning to Johannesburg.
