Discover the fascinating world of diamonds on this guided Cullinan Diamond Mine Tour from Johannesburg.

Your experience begins with hotel pickup in Johannesburg, followed by a scenic drive to the historic mining town of Cullinan, located east of Pretoria. Cullinan is world-renowned for producing some of the largest and most famous diamonds ever discovered, including the Cullinan Diamond — the largest rough gem-quality diamond ever found, parts of which now form part of the British Crown Jewels.

Upon arrival, guests will embark on a guided surface tour of the Cullinan Diamond Mine. Led by an experienced mine guide, you will learn about the history of diamond mining in South Africa, the geological formation of diamonds, and the processes used to extract and process these precious stones.

The tour includes access to selected areas of the mine’s surface operations and provides fascinating insight into one of the world’s most significant diamond-producing mines. Guests will also have the opportunity to visit the diamond showroom, where polished stones and jewelry can be viewed (purchases optional).

After the mine tour, there will be free time to explore the charming village of Cullinan or enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (own account) before returning to Johannesburg.
