Looking for Adventure? This is the trip for you! Join our guides on a full day action packed outdoor adventure. This trip promises to rock your socks off as you will embark on a 65m Waterfall Abseil try your hand at Kloofing, jumping from 3 metres to 22 metres high. Take note you will be hiking to the various rock pools and abseil so wear appropriate shoes.

Itinerary – a guideline
Arrival times vary with numbers & fitness of groups
- Arrival at Pitstop Lodge for a delicious breakfast
- Enter the Gorge for a +/- 30 minute walk/hike to the first cliff jumping pool
- The next +/- 30 minute walk takes you to the top of Thunder Falls.
- Abseil down Thunder Falls. (65 metres).
- Hike out of the gorge.
- Arrive back at Pitstop Lodge for a refreshing beer (welcome to order a meal at your own cost, see menu link on website)
Kamikaze Kanyon is in the Fynbos biome and forms part of the Cape Floral Kingdom. There are 6 floral kingdoms globaly and the Cape Floral Kingdom is the smallest and the most diverse per unit of area.
The diversity of fynbos plants is extremely high, with over 9000 species of plants occurring in the biome of which 6200 are endemic, i.e. growing nowhere else in the world.
Although the Fynbos biome only comprises 6% of the area of southern Africa, it has half the total number of plant species on the subcontinent – and has almost 1 in 5 of all African plant species so far described.Any additional items of a personal nature.
Wetsuits
Transport to and from Grille Shack /Pitstop Lodge.
Arrangements can be made at an additional cost.
Snacks/Drinks during the hike. The Pitstop Tuckshop, will be open to purchase a drink and light snacks before you set out into the gorge.
IMPORTANT: We require a minimum of 4 Pax for this trip to proceed. Your booking will be confirmed automatically by the reservation system, however we will stay in touch in case we do not have the required number of participants for the trip to proceed.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
- In the event of cancellation BEFORE 48 hours of the confirmed activity date, a 50% administration fee will apply.
- In the event of cancellation WITHIN 48 hours of the confirmed activity date, a 100% administration fee will apply.
- In the event of a “no show”or cancellation on the day of the confirmed activity, a 100% missed booking/cancellation fee will apply.

Wow.....my day with Abseil Africa at Kamikaze Canyon on the 31st of Dec 22 was fantastic. Even before that day, Leo's service and friendly manner was brilliant. On the day, the guides were absolutely marvellous. All four were professional and friendly. The day was incredible. Unforgettable. I'm an adrenaline junkie and I've done many fun activities in my life, but that day ranked as one of the best days ever for me. The hike is a good workout, and the 65m high abseil next to and through the spectacular waterfall is a unique thrill and a feast for the eyes. And as for that 22m cliff jump - well that really got my adrenaline pumping. Standing up there and looking down made me question my sanity. My heart was pounding like hell as I was counted down . . . and then jumped. There is genuine danger in getting that jump wrong so it was bloody scary - even for a guy like me that's done thousands of skydives. I LOVED IT. The food and service at The Grille Schack was very good too. Thanks so much for an excellent fun experience and one that I'll never forget. ??? - Mark
