The Franschhoek Motor Museum offers visitors a special opportunity to look back at more than 100 years of motoring history with its unique and exciting collection of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and memorabilia in the magnificent setting of L’Ormarins. Across the length and breadth of Southern Africa, only one place can adequately portray the evolution of the automobile, The Franschhoek Motor Museum.
The museum’s collection exceeds 220 vehicles – ranging from a 1898 Beeston motor tricycle to a 2003 Ferrari Enzo supercar – and more than 80 exhibits will be on view at any one time, displayed in four de-humidified halls with a total floor area of 2700 m², and presented in chronological order.

It was my third visit to the motor museum and the changing of cars is always good as we view different models. It was really a great experience as my prior visits. It would be good if the area is expanded to cater for the viewing of more vehicles. Thank you. - Siva
As usual a good display of cars from many places. Always worth a visit. - Malcolm
Fantastic experience, very professionally run. The vehicles are displayed well in immaculate halls, and we were told this is just a quarter of the collection on view, but they are rotated every six months. If you have an interest in cars go and enjoy it is recommended - Paul
Lovely place, great array of cars, beautifully displayed. Highly recommend it as a stop in Franschhoek - Ruth
We did go 2nd year in a row, with some different cars on display Very nice museum and enjoyable to visit. Unfortunately 1 of the buildings we could not visit. See you next time. - Bas
