Service Terms and Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Stoked Surf aims to provide every client with the best possible experience. As surfing and stand-up paddle boarding are dependent on ocean and weather conditions, adjustments may occasionally be necessary to ensure safety and enjoyment. These adjustments may include changes to meeting or pick-up times, surf locations, itineraries, routes, accommodation, or transport arrangements. Clients will always be informed of any such changes.
Stoked Surf reserves the right to cancel or postpone any experience in the event of unsafe conditions, including but not limited to extreme swells or gale-force winds.
Stoked Surf is a boutique, owner-operated business with limited capacity in both vehicles and lessons. We maintain strict coach-to-student ratios, which means last-minute cancellations significantly impact our ability to operate sustainably. For this reason, a clear and firm cancellation policy applies. Please review the cancellation and refund policies carefully before confirming your booking.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Surf Lessons, Exclusive Surf Experiences, Surf Guiding, Day Trips & Stand-Up Paddle boarding Experiences:
This policy applies year-round except during peak season (see below):
0–24 hours prior to booking date: 100% cancellation fee
24–48 hours prior to booking date: 50% cancellation fee
48–72 hours prior to booking date: 25% cancellation fee
More than 72 hours prior to booking date: 0% cancellation fee
Peak Season: 20 December – 7 January
During peak season, the following stricter cancellation policy applies:
0–7 days prior to booking date: 100% cancellation fee
8–14 days prior to booking date: 50% cancellation fee
15–21 days prior to booking date: 25% cancellation fee
More than 21 days prior to booking date: 0% cancellation fee
Please refer to the refund policy below regarding applicable administration fees.

Multi-Day Packages Including Accommodation:
0–21 days prior to booking date: 100% cancellation fee
22–30 days prior to booking date: 50% cancellation fee
31–60 days prior to booking date: 25% cancellation fee
More than 61 days prior to booking date: 0% cancellation fee
Please refer to the refund policy below regarding applicable administration fees.

Pandemic-Related Cancellations:
Standard cancellation terms apply to all pandemic-related cancellations initiated by the client. In the event of a national lockdown in South Africa that prevents Stoked Surf from operating (for example, beach closures), and where Stoked Surf is required to cancel the booking, the refund policy outlined below will apply.

Cancellations Due to Injury or Illness:
Standard cancellation terms apply, including in cases where a client becomes injured or ill during their booking period.
Clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel and medical insurance that covers participation in adventure activities.

REFUND POLICY
If the Client Cancels:
A 10% administration fee will be deducted from any refundable amount. This fee is charged in addition to the applicable cancellation fee and covers transaction and administrative costs associated with processing the booking and refund.

If Stoked Surf Cancels:
Surfing is a weather-dependent activity. Sessions will not be cancelled due to moderate wind or rain. However, cancellations may occur in the event of unsafe conditions such as gale-force winds or extreme swells.
In the event that Stoked Surf cancels your booking, you will be offered an alternative date to reschedule.
If rescheduling is not possible, you may choose one of the following options:
A voucher to the full value paid, valid for 12 months from the date of issue; or
A refund of 95% of the amount paid. A 5% fee is retained to cover credit card or instant EFT transaction costs incurred when processing the refund.
All refunds are processed in South African Rand (ZAR) and may be subject to exchange rate fluctuations.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Stoked Surf shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, additional expense, accident, delay (including flight or transportation delays), irregularity, or illness (including pandemic-related illness) arising from any act, omission, or default by the client, or occurring in connection with the booking or participation in any Stoked Surf experience.
