Wow, what a truly magical and special experience to be able to stand side by side with an Elephant and walk with them. Elephants are so beautiful and wonderful and I had the privilege of walking with Sally. She wrapped her trunk around my hair when she first met me and gave me her approval to walk with her. I was just so elated and excited to be walking with such beautiful giants. It really was a dream. My guide was lovely and very informative and I felt totally safe. I walked with Sally and the rest of the lovely ladies in the herd, I fed her and walked amongst them all again afterwards. The whole experience was so wonderful and the memories of that day will remain with me forever. I hope I will visit again one day. I did go and visit Harry the next day and told him I'd walked with Sally. Knysna Elephant Park is a very special place and all the staff are so wonderful and welcoming. The facilities are fabulous. We enjoyed our time at Knysna Elephant Park. Walking with the elephants and feeding them was a treat for both of us. I have never been so close to an elephant before, so that was really amazing to experience. The guides were so knowledgeable. We booked the Breakfast with elephants package and it was really special. Geoff and my elephant handler(apologies, I forget his name) were really great in making the experience very relaxed, safe and interesting. Had a fabulous stay at the Knysna Elephant Lodge. We were in the Harry Room for one night. Wished we had booked at least 2 nights. The staff were all great. Elephants treated well, allowed to do as they please. We did the Walk with Elephants in the morning and that was terrific also. Shout out to Wellington and Berry who were amazing. - Robert
